I shall return

Well Darkstar drained me little. The prep work getting 1400 points of army done, not fully done in my opinion little things are still to be finished, but. Sleep became an unaffordable luxury for a few weeks and slowly caught up with me. I though did come with an impressive army of note in my opinion, but yet no trophy... I know now what must be done for next year. I may also attempt to compete for a prize at Northstar, Darkstar's fantasy battles counterpart. This should be in November so will be hard to align with the Renegade open grand tournament, which I am staff on. But first before all I must survive Adepticon.

Here is a photo of the army five days before the tournament. The landraider was painted on the inside but not really touched on the outside. Then my rune priest and accompanying wolf guard.

Leather seats not included. Here is the grey hunters rhino ready to go on tour. First time I have done a sub-assembly to paint an interior of a vehicle. I will be doing the same with my land raider. I wanted to originally make the side doors open as well but time restraint and the condition of the rhino going

in decided to possibly just do that for the land raider more on that soon.

One more done

Finally finished the first grey hunter pack. Which was going good at the first batch of five but just slowed with the other half. So here they are with a close up on some. These are all old metal models that wanted to use after striping them the second team. Couldn't let them go even though I would love to not handle metal models. I will be finishing the basing once I get into the display board phase doing a wind blown highland theme.

Five weeks you say?

So I have given myself a challenge. I have decided to delay my Executioners project by a few monthes, till after Adepticon. I will be attempting to finish enough spaces wolves for the Darkstar GT in the twin cities in the beginning of March, and then for Adepticon.

 So I have begun my first unit of Grey Hunters. You can see down below the first five, then the next five and their ride which took some body shop work. If I have time at the end and have reached my goal I will go back and redo the plasma guns. Now let's see how well I do over the next month.

The ancient

So with it feeling more like Fenris then Minnesota outside I figured I better stop dragging my feet and post again. With it reaching the -40s here the warriors of Fenris would be at home. This is my first dreadnought for my space wolves. Using the metal Bjorn model that I have had for some time. Bjorn will be represented by a forgeworld model I got through good luck, whom is a little down the road. You can see him here at the end with some lucky young kids.

The last picture there is a color test to see how some marines would turnout. Though I wanted to finish more wolves first before starting my big project the release of the codex and a Badab war campaign here in the cities has forced my hand.

The young and old

Well after preping and running a grand tournament, plus the holiday season, I finally remembered I need to keep up with this whole blogging thing. Biting the bullet and posting off my phone. I find a desktop just a better experience doing, well anything on the Internet then my phone. So here's some photos of more blood claws. Plus a close up on one of the young warriors of Fenris, and the beginnings of one of his elders. My plans are being circumvented on my wolves though now as the big project that this blog is named for has been forced along with a campaign starting here in the cities soon so more on that as I finally start picking up with this blog now in the future. But I will post all of what I've done with them so far till I get going good on that.

So it begins

Welcome to my long delayed entry into the world of blogging. After much angest filled perfectionism, which is not seen fully on this site yet, and powerful foot dragging I'm finally just going for it. 

I plan on trying to use this first to just put my art & hobby out into the world. also to hopefully meet and share the mutual love of toy soldiers with fellow hobbyist out on the wide world of the Internet. Over the next couple weeks I'll be putting up just some random things I done the year or two, which has mostly been commission work for friends, or close associates of the tiny wars. But first I'll just leave a small sample of my current project finally returning to (for the third time) the proud and loud warriors of Fenris.
